I am aware of no proponent of Intelligent Design theory who disputes the scientifically demonstrable facts of the evolutionary processes at work withinspecies (in both plant and animal kingdoms). Within that context it is perfectly reasonable to assert with earnest conviction, that "evolution is a scientifically established fact and not just a theory!" However, EVOLUTION AT THIS LEVEL IS WELL WITHIN THE ORIGINAL DESIGN!

It is only when one attempts to impose the evolutionary model into origins that the irrational thinking surfaces. When evolutionary theory is put forth as the only reasonable and rational explanation for the origin of species... that means it now an issue of BLIND FAITH and rational, intellectional exchange breaks down completely!!!

I do believe I have finally come to understand why we humans tend toward such a desperate fear, even of the idea of such an all powerful, Creator being!

I believe it's fear of the unknown combined with a deeper fear that's rooted in the possiblity of losing our personal sovreignty! The very idea of submitting our personal sovreignty to an unknown, powerful entity is so deeply repugnant to the self-side or our nature, it can drive us into embracing irrational theories and short-circuit objective reasoning. In such a state of fear, we will embrace conclusions that we would otherwise recognize as clearly irrational.

I am fully persuaded that it is such deep-seated fears rather than objective reasoning, that will drive otherwise rational individuals to embrace intellectually dishonest, even condescending attitudes toward those who dare question the theory of evolution--as it relates to origins.

Irrefutable, Observable Evidence
When research is done with intellectual honesty, the sheer volume of irrefutable, observable evidence, combined with the design complexity far beyond human capability, then add the truly astounding bio-engineering present in every living organism, and honesty realizes that it is fully rational and reasonable to concede the high probability that an intelligence well beyond the our human comprehension is directly involved in the original design and production of all things living!

No matter how many well educated, well meaning individuals loath this conclusion, it is nevertheless, a totally reasonable and fully rational position!

Frankly, I to conclude otherwise, seems at best to be intellectually dishonest and at worst it puzzingly irrational, rooted much more in blind faith than scientific observation.
