These photos wwere taken with a 35mm Olympus OM-1 with Zuiko various lenses. The film was Kodak Royal... back when it was ASA rated at 100.
We were in Egypt visiting friends living in Cairo. They were there for a two year stint with his company. Although we were there for only 2 weeks, we did get a good feel for life in that region of North Africa.
We visited, Cairo, Giza, Karnak, Luxor, Ibu Simbel, Sharm el Sheik, Aswan, and of course the Valley of the Kings and Queens.
We also stayed a few nights at the famous Old Cataract Hotel while in Aswan. Among the many celebrities who have stayed at this hotel, the most celebrated is Agatha Christy. On her extended stay, she wrote, "Death On The Nile" from the terrace balcony.
